What better way to cool off than by taking a dip in the Molalla River or splashing around in the fountain at Fox Park?

It's hot outside.

Like, really hot out. We're not talking about a "it's been 30 degrees all winter and now that springtime's first 60 degree day is here we're all melting" kind of hot; this is hot even for the Pacific Northwest.

The Willamette Valley, along with much of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest, has been hit with a heat wave this week that is expected to bring temperatures close to 110 degrees this evening as well as Thursday evening. For at least the next week, temperatures are expected to remain with highs in the mid to upper 90s.

It's a good thing Molalla folks have the beautiful Molalla River running right through town, as that's how some people choose to cool off, not to mention the convenient splash fountain at Fox Park in downtown Molalla easily accessible to families in the area. Check out some of our photos of people throughout the area cooling off at Wagon Wheel Park and at the Fox Park splash fountain below.
