Colton Corner: No reason to leave town this weekend
Want a really fun night and a way to support community at the same time? Then mark your calendar for this Saturday, April 7 when "Stars on Stage" comes to Colton High School.
The night, presented by Colton Boosters, is not just given to a talent show filled with some of the best talent in town vying for cash prizes, but it is preceded by a "food cart" type dinner area offering a variety of food and beverage including things like a spaghetti meal and other treats and sides available for purchase.
There will also be raffle baskets up for winning, some of them filled with exceptional prizes—for example the basket put together by Mrs. Sahleen's class called the "Backyard Bonanza." It offers a fire pit, patio umbrella, Fiskars tree trimming tools, outdoor decorative lights, tabletop propane barbecue grill, lawn chairs, cooler, Yeti travel mug, bird feeders, garden art and more. Raffles and food booth earnings go to the sponsoring class or group.
There will also be a photo booth set up. If that isn't enough fun, you can also be part of the judging. Votes are $1 each, and you can vote your favorite star to the top prize. The food area opens at 5 p.m. with the show beginning at 6 p.m. Admission to the performance area is $2 for adults and $1 for children.
