The Colton Historical Society will meet in the community room of the Colton Fire Department, 20987 S. Hwy 211 on Thursday, April 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Everyone are encouraged to attend and learn more about the history of the local area.


There will be a special event, El Dia De Los Niños – Celebration of Children, at the Molalla Public Library on Saturday, April 28 from 1:30-4 p.m. This is a special craft day in honor of children. Many activities will be available that day, including face painting, balloon sculpting and crafts. Snacks will also be available.


24/7 Generation Church, the youth and young adults ministry of The Country Church, is partnering with surrounding community churches and Molalla High School's club Occupy MHS to host a free event called Limitless One Night for middle school, high school and young adults or college age individuals. The event is born from the recognition that young people need a place where they can come and be themselves, but also be inspired and presented with hope. Last year, more than 500 people attended. This year's event will take place on Saturday, April 28 from 4:30-10:30 p.m. at The Country Church 16975 S. Hwy 211 in Molalla. It includes a free meal, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, photo booth, Gaga Ball, open gym, volleyball, video games, dance-off, live band and more. There will also be giveaways of gift cards and more. Molalla River Academy is presenting their 9th Annual Gala Auction, an evening of fine dining and bidding, on Saturday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m. at Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby, Oregon. The evening features a silent auction, buffet dinner, live auction and professional auctioneer. Attendees must be 21 or older. Decorative toilets are making their way around Molalla throughout the month of April as a fundraiser for the Molalla High School senior drug- and alcohol-free graduation party. Businesses or individuals can send one of five brightly decorated toilets to a local friend or neighbor. Charges are as follows: $10 for sending a toilet to a friend, $10 toilet removal, $20 toilet removal and passing it on, $30 toilet removal and never having it return.
