Molalla's Shango dispensary now Bigfoot Bud Company
Molalla's Shango Dispensary changed its name to Bigfoot Bud Company on July 1 to highlight its owners desire to keep it local.
Joi Moshberger, who owns the shop at 109 Main St., decided she wanted to keep it local.
"I own the store, I just used the name as part of a franchise," she told the Pioneer.
Shango however, uses marijuana grown all over the United States, but Moshberger wants to keep her supplies from local farmers around Molalla, Canby, Beaver Creek and Estacada. The farthest she wants to buy from is Eugene, she said.
"They weren't going the same direction I wanted. We're a small, local, good neighbor with a positive impact. They [Shango] are all over the nation with suppliers from California, Nevada and three stores in Michigan. I have the same local employees and 11 farmers that supply Bigfoot Bud," she added.
