Three Molalla Council seats up for grabs in November election
Three seats on the Molalla City Council come up for election on Nov. 6 this year for four year terms beginning Jan.1, 2019. Candidates can declare if they're a registered voter and have lived here at least 12 months.
The seats currently are held by Glen Boreth, Elizabeth Klein and Leota Childress.
Those interested are asked to pick up an elections filing packet from City Hall, 117 North Molalla Ave. between the hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2-4 p.m. The packet contains the State Elections book with information for filing procedures, accepting donations and other requirements from the City Hall and the Clackamas County Elections Office. This also will contain information encouraged to read before beginning the campaign.
Candidates must submit four forms to City Hall by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28. These include the Filing of Candidacy for Nonpartisan Nomination (SEL 101); Candidate's Statement of Organization (SEL 220), Petition for Nonpartisan Nomination Signature Sheet (Form SEL 121); and Filing Cover Sheet (SEL 338).
