CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS
Aspen Meadows' award-winning Christmas light display, located at 24232 South Upper Highland Road in Colton, is now open and runs through Dec. 26. Monday through Thursday hours are 5-10 p.m. and Friday through Sunday hours are 5-11 p.m.
CANBY FERRY CLOSURE
The Canby Ferry will be closed Monday, Dec. 24 through Tuesday, Jan. 1 for maintenance. The ferry will resume service on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
The ferry crosses the Willamette River between Canby and Wilsonville. It runs seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. except on major holidays and when the water level rises to 70 feet or higher. Molalla Public Library is holding another December movie showing on Dec. 29 at 2 p.m.
That day, guests can enjoy "Incredibles 2," a sequel to the 2004 film. This time, the Parr family does a role-swap, wherein Bob is left home to take care of the kids while Helen is out saving the world. The film is rated PG for action sequences and some brief mild language.
LIVING WELL WORKSHOP
Daniela Mahoney will be back at the Molalla Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 12 p.m. This time, she's bringing a Slovakian Wheat Weaving craft. Learn to make hearts and dolls out of wheat. Space is limited. Contact the library for more information.
HORTICULTURE TRADE SHOW
The North Willamette Horticulture Society will hold its annual conference and trade show on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the Clackamas County Event Center in Canby.
