One audition has taken place, bringing out a neat story of kindness; still one more chance to audition

Share your talent

Colton Boosters held their first Stars on Stage talent show auditions last Thursday. All ages were represented with comedy, dance and music.

You still have another chance to showcase your talent. The last tryouts will be held at Colton Middle School, 21580 South Schieffer Road, Thursday, Feb. 7 starting at 6 p.m.

The big talent show will be held at Colton High School, 30205 South Wall Street on March 9 at 6 p.m. with multiple cash prizes awarded.

A story from the tryouts

Besides the amazing talent that showed up to try out for Stars on Stage, there is a nice story to tell.

A little girl got up to sing for her audition. After a couple words, she ran off the stage to her mother.

Colton High School freshman Kiersten Frye, who had already performed, went over to the young girl with encouraging words. Across the room you could see the two of them continue to talk.

When the younger performer took the stage to try again, Kiersten went with her. She got down on her knees and held the lyrics where the little girl could see them. It was a very good tryout.

To make the story better, it turns out they did not know each other; it was all about caring enough to make a difference.
