A Colton man sustains fatal injuries Tuesday in single vehicle crash on Highway 211

A Colton man lost his life in a single vehicle crash on HWY 211 Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Feb. 26 at approximately 3:53 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to the crash on HWY 211 near milepost 19, according to a press release from Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Jacob Slinkard (28) was traveling north on the highway in a 2017 Toyota Tacoma, when for an unknown reason his vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

Slinkard sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The highway was closed for approximately four hours at the site of the crash. OSP was assisted by Molalla Police, Molalla Fire, Colton Fire and Oregon Department of Transportation.
