Return of the toilets
It's that time of year again. The air is warming up, spring flowers are in bloom and toilets are plopping down in people's yards.
Molalla High School's senior class parents are once again holding the "You've Been Flushed!" fundraiser to help pay for an all-night drug- and alcohol-free grad party.
"Our committee has been working very hard since September to raise money to put on the very best event for our graduating seniors because our hope is to give them a night to remember," said Liz Nauta, a senior class mom. "Our theme is 'Reaching for the Stars'—and that is our heart for these kids."
The toilet fundraiser runs from May 1 through May 23 in the Molalla community.
"It is a fun-spirited fundraiser where you just might wake up to a decorated toilet on your front yard," Nauta said.
For those who are lucky enough to be gifted a porcelain throne, instructions can be found on the inside of the can along with contact information to allow you to play along and "flush" someone else.
