Molalla students graduate from online school
Four Molalla students graduated from Oregon Connections Academy, an online school, on June 14. They are Honey Cho Cho, William Hart, Kevin Rukke and Maya Villaruel.
The ceremony to celebrate the school's 11th graduating class was held at the State Fairgrounds in Salem. Approximately 240 graduates walked across the stage, of the estimated 450 in the class of 2019.
More than half of the class indicated they plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university. Those students have so far earned more than $1.5 million in scholarships and grant awards, according to the school.
Oregon Connections Academy is a fully-online, tuition-free K-12 public school that students attend from home or anywhere there is an internet connection. The school served more than 4,300 students across the state this year.
Enrollment for the upcoming school year is now open online at connectionsacademy.com.
