City of Molalla suggests proper use of garage sale signs
It's the time for garage and home sales. Spring cleaning has taken place and there are things to get rid of that other people may find they can't live without it, it's necessary, cute or something they need.
The City of Molalla will be enforcing the proper use of signs taken from Municipal Code 18.32.
A total of four signs can be used, one at the site of the sale and three are allowed off premises. A-frame signs are allowed.
The signs must be placed outside of the public's right of way, such as streets and sidewalks. They can't be attached to trees, utility poles or traffic control devices and signs. They must be six square feet or smaller and three feet high or less and contain the sale's address.
They must be placed after 8 a.m. on the first day of the sale and removed before 7 p.m. on the last day.
Signs must not create a traffic hazard, impede pedestrian passage or create a public nuisance.
