New and returning Molalla High School students must register for school in August

There's still a month left to enjoy all that summer brings, but it's time to start thinking ahead to the school year. Registration dates are coming up for new and returning students.

All of the below registration and orientation events happen at Molalla High School, located at 357 Frances St. in Molalla.

-Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 12-13 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: High school registration for new students

For students who are new to the district, a legal guardian must accompany the student to registration. Bring along a transcript as well as immunization records. New students should also attend new-student orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 3 (see below).

-Tuesday, Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon: High school freshmen registration for students who attended Molalla River Middle School last year

-Wednesday, Aug. 21 from noon to 3 p.m. and 4-6:30 p.m.: High school registration open to all grades for returning students

-Thursday, Aug. 22 from 7:30-10:30 a.m.: High school registration open to all grades for returning students

All returning students must bring their signed verification form with any changes noted. The form will be included in the August mailing.

-Tuesday, Sept. 3 from 10-11:30 a.m.: High school orientation for new students

After registration, pack up the inflatable rafts and get out the backpacks, because the first day of school swoops in just after Labor Day. The first day for grades 1-6 and 9 is Tuesday, Sept. 3 and the first day for grades 7-8 and 10-12 is Wednesday, Sept. 4.
