Molalla has some spots to fill
Molalla continues to seek a new member of the City Council to cover the seat recently held by Keith Swigart before he became mayor.
To be considered, candidates must be a registered voter, must reside within the city limits for at least 12 months prior to the appointment, cannot be in another city position, cannot be employed by the city and must complete a background check whose form is located on the city's website.
The term will be valid through Dec. 31, 2020. The City Council will be the final judge on qualifications.

The city's Public Works Department is looking for a senior engineering technician/inspector. It's a full time position with competitive pay including medical, dental and vision benefits.
Duties include a full range of civil works projects and technical studies with frequent interaction with other staff and the public. The ideal candidate is a good project manager, problem solver and has independent judgement and decision making appropriate for a senior engineering technical position.
