Special meetings to be at the two cities on two separate dates: Sept. 24 and Oct. 3

Canby and Molalla residents can take part in septic workshops on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Molalla Public Library and in Canby on Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Canby Utility. The workshops will teach residents how to check, fix and maintain their septic systems.

The free workshops will cover how septic systems work, operation and maintenance and signs of failure, codes and permits. It also will explain how to receive rebates and cost share and free well water nitrate screening.

Canby Utility also has a website that explains applying for a rebate. It lists the steps to take including receiving pre-approval of the project before beginning work. Go to canbyutility.com and click on efficiency and rebates for more information.

Attendance requires registration because the class sizes are limited. To register, contact Barb at Canby Utility 503-263-4312 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The workshops are sponsored by Canby Utility, the City of Molalla, Clackamas County, Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District, Oregon Department of Environment Quality and Oregon Health Authority.
