Molalla will hold an Oct. 2 Planning Commission meeting to pursue a minor code change for portions of land that are three or fewer lots versus subdivisions.
It is hoped the staff can cover areas that are much smaller than the land planned for subdivisions.
"It meets the standards and can help customers as well as the Planning Commission and the City Council. It's consistent with cities [rules] whose populations are 8,000 or larger," said Molalla's Planning Director Alice Cannon.
It also appears that at a later day there will be an annexation request to put the southwest corner of Oregon Highways 211 and 213 within Molalla's city limits. The parcel is within the Urban Growth Boundary, and there are no current development plans for the areas, but its owner wants the land annexed into the city.
The meeting is Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Molalla Adult Community Center, 315 Kennel Ave.
