CEMETERY NEEDS HELP

Adams Cemetery in Molalla needs a bit of help. Although their annual grounds and markers cleanup is scheduled for next April, the cemetery needs some financial help. Unlike cemeteries that have a perpetual fund, Adams doesn't and it needs funds to bay electric bills and pay for upkeep to level headstones. Currently, a volunteer mows the lawns, but leveling headstones can cost money.

"We just need small sums and volunteers to help. People don't understand that even though they've paid for their plot, it still has to be kept up and we have to pay for the electricity to pay for the pump for irrigation," said Lisa Winds.

GRIEFSHARE

GriefShare is a 13-week support group for those who are dealing with the death of a loved one. The fall session runs through Dec. 16. The group meets at the Molalla Adult Community Center every Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Each week covers a specific topic of grief followed by an open support group discussion. Each week is self-contained, so anyone is welcome to join at any time. For more information please contact Karin Watts 503-866-6573 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
