CEMETERY NEEDS HELP

Adams Cemetery in Molalla needs a bit of help. The annual grounds and markers cleanup is scheduled for next April, but in the meantime, the cemetery needs some financial aid. Unlike cemeteries that have a perpetual fund, Adams doesn't and it needs funds to pay electric bills and upkeep to level headstones. Currently, a volunteer mows the lawns, but leveling headstones can cost money.

"We just need small sums and volunteers to help. People don't understand that even though they've paid for their plot, it still has to be kept up and we have to pay for the electricity to pay for the pump for irrigation," said Lisa Winds.
