As new year's Share the Love fundraiser approaches, leadership thanks those who gave last year

It's almost that time of year. The time when the people of Molalla rally together and agree to pull out their pocketbooks for some folks who need help.

The annual Share the Love charitable fundraiser kicks off on Friday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. at Molalla High School. At this kick-off assembly, high school leadership will reveal the families who will benefit from the fundraiser. Leadership will also announce the families on all social media platforms that day.

After that, it's up to the community to bring in the funds.

Last year, Share the Love raised more than $90,000 for four families in need.

Before the official kick-off of the new year's event, Molalla High School leadership wanted to take time to thank those who gave last year.

"Thank you to all who donated to help Share the Love raise over $90,000 for four families in need," the school's leadership said in a statement.
