New boutique opens in Molalla
Mary Wilson and her daughter Brittany Gipe held a grand opening for the ParLi Boutique on Jan. 3. The pair used to sell clothes through social media but recently decided to open an actual bricks and mortar store at 102 North Molalla Ave.
After her oldest child was born, Gipe decided she wanted to go back to work, but when she began to investigate daycare, she found it was not affordable.
"Daycare was outrageous," she said.
So, for quite a while she and her mom sold items from a designer online. More recently, they began looking for space they could sell clothing and gifts and found one in Molalla. Wilson is from Colton and Gipe lives in Sandy.
Currently, their wares include business casual items like dresses, pants, sweaters and blouses for teens and women from various designers. They also have accessories including jewelry plus hostess gifts like mugs and kitchen towels.
The two currently are discussing adding children's items to their clothing lineup.
ParLi Boutique is located at 102 North Molalla Ave. Its hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 4. They are closed on Tuesday and Thursday and holidays. They currently do not have a phone.
