First week of classes were 'hectic,' but attendance was good and students were engaged

A note from Colton Superintendent Koreen Barreras-Brown:

COURTESY PHOTO: CSD - Koreen Barreras-BrownIt has been a hectic first week of school.

I am working on a first week of school slideshow with amazing pictures of our students. It was supposed to be a first day of school. But everyone was so busy that we only received one photo, so, we extended it to the first week of comprehensive distance learning (CDL). I will be sharing the video on social media and the website.

Our amazing food services team served 240 meals a day in our first week back. We are still partnering with Helping Hands Food Pantry and distributing food boxes each week with our meals.

Teachers and students are off to a great start in comprehensive distance learning (CDL) with great attendance and engagement during synchronous (real-time) learning opportunities. Our parents are amazing partners in learning. We couldn't do this without them!
