A look at some fun events happening in the local area in the coming days - fundraiser, virtual dinner

Ballot drop-off sites open locally

Ballots are in the mail, political advertising is heating up, and the race to Election Day, Nov. 3, is underway.

All official drop-sites in Clackamas County are available 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots were mailed out Oct. 14.

Drop sites locally are: Molalla Public Library, 201 E. 5th St.; Canby Civic Building, 222 N.E. 2nd Ave.; Canby's Arneson Garden, 249 S. Sequoia Parkway; and at the Colton Water Department (20987 Highway 211), across from the Colton Post Office.

Molalla McDonald's sets fire department fundraiser

McDonald's in Molalla will hold a fundraiser for the Molalla Fire Department for the purchase of a thermal vision equipment. The restaurant will donate $1,000 for every 100 cars that roll through the drive-thru from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The Molalla McDonald's is located at 1565 W. Main St. in Molalla.

Research facility to hold virtual dinner

The North Willamette Research and Extension Center's annual Harvest Dinner will be held virtually this year, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.

The event will be broadcast as a webinar via Zoom. The event will recap the facility's research and education highlights and will feature some special guests, including new OSU President F. King Alexander.
