Christmas in Aurora will be Nov. 27

Christmas in Aurora will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature a visit from Father Christmas, refreshments, activities for all ages, and a wrapping station.

Canby Winter Farmers Market has opened up

The Canby Winter Farmers Market has kicked off its season. The market will run every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Northwest 2nd Avenue and Holly Street in downtown Canby. The market will run through November and feature vendors, music and more.

Annual toy and food drive in full gear

The Canby Kiwanis Community Food & Toy Drive is in full swing with donation barrels for toys spread throughout the community. The organization will again be using gift cards for food, as well as collecting toys for 1,000 area children.

Those interested in donating money can mail checks to the following address: Canby Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. Box 1004, Canby, OR 97013 – subject line: Food and Toy Drive. PayPal is available for credit card donations at canbykiwanis.org.

Winter Fair ready to roll at fairgrounds

This year's Winter Fair event at the fairgrounds in Canby will be a walk-thru event. There will be a lighted tunnel, a 200-foot building light display, a Christmas show and much more.

This year's event will run Friday and Saturdays, Nov. 26-27, Dec. 3-4 and 10-11, Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 16-19, and Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 22-24.

Canby's Light Up the Night is Dec. 3

Canby will welcome the Christmas season at Wait Park on Dec. 3. A parade will kick things off at 6 p.m. and wind its way through downtown before depositing Santa at Wait Park.

There will be music, festivities and the official lighting of Wait Park will be at 7 p.m., followed by more music.

Molalla church sets Christmas theatrical production

Molalla Nazarene Church will present "The Powerful Name of Jesus," a Christmas-themed theatrical performance that will include dance, drama and live music on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. and again on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.

Canby Grove cookie bake is on

The Canby Grove Christian Center will hold its fifth annual Christmas at the Grove Cookie Bake on Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 4-5, at the center's dining hall.

The bakes will happen in two-hour blocks from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Cookie Bake is an opportunity to take care of holiday cooking needs, baking with friends and family in a festive atmosphere, cooking and frosting dozens of cookies at a time and having no mess to clean up. There are a limited number of reservations available, so sign-ups are required. Pre-Payment of your dough is required for your reservation to be held.
