Winter Fair ready to welcome visitors
Judging by the multitude of colors glowing in the night during the Winter Fair preview event recently, this year's walk-thru event should offer plenty to enjoy.
The Winter Fair gets underway at the Clackamas County Event Center from 5 to 10 p.m. on Nov. 26-27 and runs Friday-Saturday, Dec. 3-4 and 10-11, then Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 16-18, finishing with a Wednesday-Friday run, Dec. 22-24.
The event features a 166-foot lighted tunnel to welcome visitors, followed by a nice assortment of lights within the fairgrounds, visits from Santa, food options and more. In fact, organizer Tyler Nizer noted at the preview event that there would be more lights put up for the regular opening.
He's looking forward to seeing people walking through the lights.
"I am very excited about Winter Fair and all that it will offer for guests," Nizer said. "There will be a lot for guests to experience with over half a million lights, a huge wall of lights on Ely, the light up Christmas tree, and much more.
"Santa will also be attending the Winter Fair every night and pictures with him are free as long as you bring your phone to capture the photos," Nizer added. "The goal for this event is to make it as successful as possible so we can continue to have a Christmas event for the community."
General admission tickets are $15, with children ages 10 and under are free. For more information or to order tickets, go to clackamascountyfair.com/winter-fair-tickets.
