Drazan will get crack at ending Republican drought in the governor's chair come the November elections

Oregon hasn't had a Republican governor since Vic Atiyeh in 1987, but Canby's Christine Drazan will be looking to end that 25 year drought.

Drazan emerged from a pile of Republican candidates to win her party's bid for the governor's mansion in Salem. To make the dream a reality, she'll have to defeat the Democratic winner, Tina Kotek, who handily took her party's bid during the May 17 Primary Election.
