New station sets grand opening in Canby
The Canby Fire District will hold a grand opening at its newly completed north side Medical Response Station No. 363 at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2. The event will feature guest speakers at the new location at 1460 Territorial Road.
Christian writers conference touches down in Canby
The 2022 Cascade Christian Writers Conference will be held June 23-26 at the Canby Grove Conference Center.
Both fiction and nonfiction writers can connect with editors and agents who can publish their work. There are classes, workshops and more during the event. Keynote speaker will be Tricia Goyer.

Molalla Aquatic Center offers summer programs
The Molalla Aquatic Center continues a busy start to summer with more programs and events. Coming this week is the Fitter and Faster class June 25-26, the Flick N' Float (movie in the pool) event from 9-11:30 p.m. Saturday June 25, and the Firecracker Fun Run on July 4.
There are swim lessons still available, as well as family swim, water fitness, lap swim, summer camps and more.

Canby running program getting started
The Canby High School summer running program is about to kick off. The goal is to improve fitness with a "run how you feel" program that meets at 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday at the CHS track.

All-Breed Dog Show set for three-day run
The Clackamas Kennel Club's All-Breed Dog Show will return to the Clackamas County Event Center Friday-Sunday, June 24-26.
The event features hundreds of dogs competing in a variety of formats and breeds over the course of the three-day event.
Bingo fundraiser slated for June 25 in Donald
The District 63 firefighters will hold its annual bingo event Saturday, June 25, at the Donald Fire Station. Proceeds will go to the Wayne Yoder Memorial Scholarship Fund and community events.
Dinner will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be a raffle, door prizes and cash for bingo winners. Pie and ice cream will be served throughout the night for $4.
Cost is 50 cents per card per game with an additional 50 cents for each extra card.
