South Clackamas Transit District wanted to 'brand' its buses in Molalla, and that led to creative wraps.

Don't be surprised if you see the South Clackamas Transit District (SCTD) bus rolling through Molalla with a new look these days.

The district added some vehicle wraps to their buses, which gives it a little more Molalla-centric personality.

Mike Strauch, SCTD district manager, said the goal was to make the buses rolling through the area stand out a bit more.

"TriMet and other transit services have their buses wrapped and ours have never been wrapped with a design.

"Shyloh did some research on events and history of the Molalla area and we decided on the Buckeroo theme and other outdoor activities, as well as an American flag on the hood as many people in the area seem very patriotic with flags in front of their homes, etc."

"They all thought it would be a great idea and gave the go-ahead to work with the vendor, Gillespie Graphics in Wilsonville, to get this done on our new buses," Strauch said. "We wanted the SCTD buses to stand out and have a 'brand' to them."
