Molalla junior Derek Pederson is the lone representative to earn an all-league honorable mention

PMG PHOTO: DAVID BALL - Molalla junior Derek Pederson earned an all-league honorable mention for his work during the league season.
It was a rough season for the Molalla boys' basketball team. The team picked up just two wins over the course of the season, besting 5A Scappoose and league foe Estacada, going 2-20 overall.

Despite the poor season overall, Molalla still managed to get an all-league honorable mention for one of its key players. Junior Derek Pederson was awarded a Tri-Valley Conference honorable mention. Pederson was one of the team's most reliable scorers, able to find shots from beyond the arc and on the drive inside.

Despite the sub .500 record Molalla was actually competitive in several contests, including coming up short by just single digits in three more contests. Add onto that the strength of the preseason schedule that saw Molalla clash with the fourth ranked Woodburn (twice) and third ranked Stayton, and Molalla had an uphill battle all season.
