Molalla High School has found itself a brand new boys' basketball coach.
Scott Campbell will assume the role left by former coach Jeff Bennett, per a release from Molalla athletic director Todd Moore. Campbell comes from 2A City Christian where he coached the Lions to a 12-13 overall record, with a 9-7 record in the Northwest League. Additionally, Campbell's coaching experience includes coaching basketball at Central Catholic High School, being a youth basketball coach, and working numerous basketball camps all over the northwest. Additionally, from 1994 through 2013, he took teams abroad for games and to put on clinics and camps in Brazil, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Rwanda, and Kenya.
Campbell takes over a program in dire need of some revitalization. Over the past two seasons, the team went a combined 5-39, and over the past six seasons it's been 34-103. Campbell will be the fifth head coach of the program since 2003.
