Cougars bookend season with strong stretches
Country Christian and North Clackamas Christian's baseball team book ended its full season with a solid performances.
In the opening weeks of the season, the Cougars went 3-3 (4-3, although OSAA does not recognize the win over its alumni). The three official wins came over a trio of California teams, winning the three contests a combined 30-8. After the alumni game though, the Cougars fell on hard times.
Country Christian/North Clackamas Christian went 2-12 over its next 14 games. The only wins in that stretch were against Colton, in a series the Cougars won 2-1. To end that slump, Country Christian/North Clackamas Christian avoided a sweep against Western Christian with an 8-7 win, and then swept Sheridan to close out the season.
The Cougars finished the season with a 9-15 overall record, and 6-12 league record. The team was ranked 30th in the state.
