Madras rings up three early goals to take control of season-opener for both teams Monday afternoon

The Madras White Buffaloes opened the boys soccer season Monday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over the Molalla Indians.

The White Buffalos jumped out to a 3-0 lead and cruised to an easy victory over the Indians.

Luis Benitez opened the scoring for Madras 10 minutes into the match. Leo Gutierrez followed shortly with the White Buffalo's second score. Ethan Tapia scored on a header off a corner kick with about 10 minutes remaining in the first half.

Molalla finally got on the board late in the half on a score by Antuan Peterson.

Madras shut out Molalla the remainder of the match as they cruised to the victory.

The two teams play again on Thursday in Molalla.

Madras plays Estacada on the road on Monday, then will host the Rangers Thursday in a 4 p.m. game.
