Gaston jumps out to a 20-0 lead by halftime and holds the Vikings at bay to snag the win in season's second game

It was tough to get anything going Friday night, leaving the Colton Vikings football team on the losing end of a 26-0 score to Gaston.

Gaston raced out to a 20-0 lead at halftime and was able to cruise home with the win.

Colton rushed 46 times for 159 yards and got a 3-of-8 for 37 yard effort out of its quarterbacks.

"I was proud of our efforts and kept fighting the whole game," said head coach Brynie Robinson.

Up next is a Thursday night game at Sheridan on March 18.
