A pair of invididual 18th place finishes highlight the meet that saw the boys team get a fifth place

A pair of 18th place individual finishes for both the Country Christian cross country teams highlighted the action at the Husky Invitational on Saturday.

Elijah Wallbaum snagged his place in the boys race with a time of 21:18.4 over the 5,000 meter course. On the girl's side, Ella Duckworth was 18th in a time of 27:14.4. While the girls didn't field a scoring team, the boy's squad did, finishing fifth with 128 point.

Country Christian got a 24th place finish from Josh Davis (22:15.6), followed by Timothy Ewing (29th, 22:29.1), Casey Ives (40th, 23:58.3), and Trent Phillips (50th, 25:58.8).

Duckworth was the only girl runner.

Up next is a home meet, the Cougar Flat Track, on Friday, March 26. The district championships are scheduled for Tuesday, March 30.
