Molalla boys hammer Huskies in cross country dual meet Monday, look to Saturday invitational at Putnam

In a cross county dual meet with North Marion Monday, the Molalla boys cross country team nailed down the first four places to win the meet going away.

The Indians tallied 16 points to easily out pace North Marion's 41.

Noah Roth led the way over the 5,000 meter course at Molalla Middle School, crossing the finish line in 19 minutes, 45.9 seconds.

About 11 seconds back was Riley Reynolds in second (19:56.8). Clay Sperl was third in 20:52.12, and Colten Strohmeyer was fourth in 20:59.60. Rounding out the scoring was Kadyn Eaves in 6th with a time of 21:41.10.

Also competing for Molalla were Osten Terry (10th, 23:45.70) and Clayton Huitt (11th, 23:52.30).

Molalla's lone girl runner was Crista Baurer, who finished second in the race in a time of 31:16.60.

Molalla next takes to the trails on Saturday at the Putnam COVID Classic at Putnam High School.
