MHS cross country team runs away with five of top six spots on way to winning Tri-Valley Conference

A perfect score delivered the Tri-Valley Conference cross country title to the Molalla boys team Saturday morning.

Molalla, led by conference champion Noah Roth, who traversed the 5,000 meter course in 19 minutes, 6.93 seconds, scored 15 points, the best score possible in capturing the team title.

Following Roth across the finish line were Riley Reynolds (2nd, 19:23.23), Kadyen Eaves (3rd, 19:52.21), Clay Sperl (5th, 20:08.25), and Colton Strohmeyer (20:18.05) as the scorers for the team race.

North Marion was second in the team race at 43 points, followed by Corbett (75).

Clayton Huitt placed 11th overall in a time of 21:08.95 and Osten Terry rounded out the varsity squad in 16th with a time of 22:23.74.

On the girl's side, Crista Baurer was the only varsity participant, running her way to a 13th place finish overall in a time of 27:44.90.
