Wednesday's four-way meet at Salem Academy offered the boy's and girl's team a chance at bigger meet

The action picked up a bit for the Colton High track team Wednesday. The squad jumped into a four-way meet with North Clackamas Christian, Salem Academy and Gervais on the Salem Academy campus. In the end, both sides of the team had some good moments.

Cody Tiano captured the long jump (18-4), while Ben Behrens won the high jump (6-0) and was second in the shot put (35-1). The Colton 4x100 relay team of Jerimiah Armas, Ben Behrens, Caleb Behrens and Tiano got the win in 47.73. Jeb Ethington added a third in the javelin at 116-5.

On the girls side, Rowyn Lawrynuik got third in the discus (75-11), Victoria Hanson was fifth in the javelin (69-5) and fourth in the long jump (11-4 ½), while Laramie OeDell was fifth in the long jump at 10-11 3/4).

Colton is back in action on Thursday, May 6, at a meet at Gervais.
