The all-sophomore squad shows some good qualities, learned plenty during Monday's match at the OGA in Woodburn

Head Molalla boys golf coach Grant Boustad likes the improvement his all-sophomore squad is making, and hopes to see more of it.

The Indians competed Monday at the OGA Members Course in Woodburn and "the boys continued to show improvement in different areas and learned a lot about course management throughout the tournament," Boustad said.

Michael Kyllo and Carson McEachran improved their scores from the week before. Kyllo carded a 122, while McEachran came home with a 120. The team was led by Austin Case, who shot 100 on the Woodburn course. He was followed by Tyson Ferrell's 113.

"Our group of sophomores continue to learn the game and show improvement in different areas week to week," Boustad said. "The challenge is to continue to keep focus during practice that helps translate into improved tournament play."
