The Cougars hit the trails during the Darrel Deedon Invitational cross county meet at Cascade on Sept. 1

Country Christian continues its cross country season Sept. 1 at the Darrel Deedon Invitational at Cascade High School.

The Cougar boys finished the meet in seventh place as a team, scoring 177 points.

Leading the way individually was sophomore Josh Davis, who traversed the 5,000 meter course in 19 minutes, 54.73 seconds, good enough for 35th overall.

He was followed by Cooper Halverson (42nd, 20:17.28), Lonnie Hester Lloyd (51st, 21:15.33), Timothy Ewing (54th, 21:33.56), Casey Ives (67th, 22:39.88), Noah Wallbaum (76th, 26:30.61), and Trent Philips (79th, 28:27.13).

On the girls side, lone runner Emma Duckworth clocked a time of 27:05.91 for the 5K, good enough for 48th overall.

Country Christian gets back into race more Sept. 11 at the Tahoma Coed Relays at Lake Wilderness State Park in Maple Valley, Washington.
