The girls beat Banks during its home opener by a 3-1 margin on Sept. 14, take on Madras next.

The Molalla girls soccer team picked up its second win of the season on Sept. 14, taking the measure of Banks during its home opener by a 3-1 margin.

"The girls played well, and really worked together to come out with a win at the end," coach Nina Wagner said.

The Indians got a pair of goals from junior Paulina Beteran and a penalty kick conversion from Annika Molina.

Molalla finished up its non-league schedule Friday against Oregon Episcopal. They open league play on Sept. 21 at Madras, then continue Sept. 23 with a visit to Corbett.

OES 4, Molalla 0

The Molalla High girls soccer team suffered a 4-0 non-conference loss to Oregon Episcopal School on Friday afternoon.

"The girls played the best we have seen all season, and the goals by OES were some amazing shots," coach Nina Wagner said. "We held them to 1-0 at halftime, but in the second half we could tell the team was getting tired. Unfortunately we have been struggling with numbers this year and only had 13 girls to play in the game, so subbing was very limited. However, the girls played a very good game, and we are excited to start league play this week."
