Both the Molalla and Country Christian high school cross country teams had some action on Sept. 24

Molalla's cross country team ventured down the Columbia Gorge for the Bridgette Nelson meet in The Dalles on Sept. 24.

Though neither boys or girls were able to field a full-scoring side, there were some solid runs in the invitational.

Leading the way for Molalla was Riley Reynolds, who finished 16th over the 5,000 meter course, clocking a time of 20 minutes, 22.3 seconds.

He was followed by Clayton Huitt in 30th place (22:43.7), Osten Terry in 34th (22:56.4), and Jecel Cortes in 39th (24:34.4).

On the girls side, Crista Baurer finished 25th in 29:39.5, while Kylie Benim was 26th in 29:40.7.

The Indians have a nice little break for training before resuming competition Oct. 9 at the Paul Mariman Invitational in Philomath.
