The Vikings see their record drop to 3-1 in aftermath of 42-14 loss on the road; eye Sheridan for homecoming

The Colton Vikings football team simply couldn't get its offense rolling in a 42-14 loss at Regis on Oct. 1

"It was a good game with lots of great defense, just not enough offense on our side," coach Jason Stewart said.

Regis took a 14-0 lead into the halftime lockerroom, but the Vikings simply couldn't keep pace with the Rams as the defense began to fatigue.

Colton would get a pair of touchdowns, one from Nate Turner and another from Rickie Hendrickson, but it was not enough as Regis pulled away.

Travers Rogers went over 100 yards rushing for the game and Hendrickson added another 30-plus to the offense. Defensively, Lance Gunter led the way with more than 10 tackles and added a two-point conversion to the proceedings.

The Vikings are now 1-3 overall, 0-3 in league as they eye a Thursday night home game with Sheridan for homecoming. Game time is 7 p.m.
