A look at all-league honors bestowed upon athletes at Molalla, Colton and Country Christian for fall 2021

Molalla volleyball all-league

The fruits of a 9-1 league season (12-8 overall) were pretty sweet for the Molalla High volleyball team. The Indians placed a bevy of players on the Tri-Valley Conference all-league teams.

Coach Lauree Nelzen was named Coach of the Year, while Olivia Lewis was named the Player of the Year.

Honorable mention: Delaney Mitchell (Jr.), libero; Taylor Lishka (Sr.), middle blocker; Elizabeth Winkler-Yates (Sr.), outside hitter.

Second team all-league: Asvery Guijosa Gonzalez (Jr.), setter/opposite hitter.

First team all-league: Oliva Lewis (Sr.), setter/opposite hitter; Sydney Thompson (Sr.), outside hitter; Lainie Mead (Sr.), middle blocker.

Player of the Year: Olivia Lewis, Molalla

Coach of the Year: Lauree Nelzen, Molalla.

Colton volleyball all-league

The Colton volleyball team received some post-season honors coming off a 3-16 season (2-11 in league).

Honorable mention: Peyton Collins (Sr.), middle blocker; Laina West (Sr.), outside hitter; Abby Behrens (So.), libero.

Molalla football all-league

The Molalla football team closed out its season with a 41-0 win over North Marion, then picked up a handful of Tri-Valley Conference all-league honors, including a pair of first team nods to senior Jacob Watson.

By position group, they were:

Wide receivers: Jacob Watson (Sr.), second team; Isaac Klementis (Sr.), honorable mention.

Guards: Chase Martin (Sr.), second team.

Tackles: William Mason (Jr.), second team; Theo Nunn (Sr.), honorable mention.

Defensive line: Chase Martin (Sr.), second-team; Mike Stephens (Sr.), honorable mention.

Linebackers: Ben Olsen (So.), second team; Brock Sandberg (Sr.) honorable mention.

Defensive backs: Jacob Watson (Sr.), first team.

Punter: Jacob Watson (Sr.), first team.

Molalla boys soccer all-league

The Molalla boys soccer team's run through the Class 4A playoffs has not gone unnoticed inside and outsidetheir league.

The Indians nabbed numerous all-league honors, including this year's Player of the Year, Antuan Peterson. Here's a look at this year's post-season honorees.

First-team all-league: Antuan Peterson (Jr.), Evan Hugo (Sr.).

Second-team all-league: Martin Ruiz (Sr.), Nico Algoso Del Agua (Sr.), Tony Morfin (Sr.).

Honorable mention all-league: Dakota Burke (Jr.), Reid Sperl (Sr.).

Tri-Valley Player of the Year: Antuan Peterson (Jr.).

Colton football all-league

The Colton football team received a number of all-league nods after finishing its season 4-4 overall. Those honorees were:

Receiver: Dominic Combest-Day (Sr.), second team.

Linemen: Ben Imdieke (Fr.), first team.

Running back: Travers Rogers (Sr.), second team.

Defensive back: Lance Gunter (Jr.), second team; Dominic Combest-Day (Sr.), second team.

Defensive line: Nolan Earls (Jr.), second team.

Country Christian volleyball all-league

The Country Christian volleyball team reaped some individual honors during the Valley 10 League's post-season award meeting.

First-team all-league: Elizabeth Grandle, outside hitter/setter.

Second-team all-league: McKenzie Syphard, middle.

Honorable mention: Lanie Barden, outside hitter/setter.

All-defensive team: Annie Bafford, middle.
