Though the teams split eight matches, Molalla was able to get the win via the amount of points earned

After dropping its four singles the Molalla High boys tennis team stormed back in doubles action to win all four and eventually defeat North Marion by points 56-51 (4-4) April 5. The doubles squad of Caden Cox and Joshua Lam continued their run of success early in the season, winning their match 6-0, 6-0. "Caden was part of the doubles team that went to state last year," coach Laurel Roes explained. "His partner graduated, so Joshua moved from singles to put together the strongest doubles team possible. I'm excited to see how they play under the pressure against Cascade and Philomath." The Herald-Pioneer. But they weren' t the only tandem to have a good day. Sennett Grassl and Dakota Burke won 6-0, 6-2 score; Jaime Ortego and Nico Olgoso won 6-0, 6-0, and Lucas Barrett teamed with Luke Bauge for a 6-0, 6-1 victory. In singles action, Adam Mendoza had the best outing, falling by a 2-6, 2-6 score. The Indians continue their season April 12 at Sisters and April 15 at Philomath.
