Arrested in Beaverton area

Inmate Jason Michael Donaldson, 36, was working on a 10-man crew cleaning debris from the Phil's Trailhead near Bend when staff discovered he was missing last Tuesday.

Oregon State Police and the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene to begin a search.

The Oregon Department of Corrections issued an alert with Donaldson's description, and a full-scale investigation, led by Oregon State Police ensued. OSP worked in cooperation with DOC, DCSO, Bend Police Department, Lane County Sheriff's Office, Eugene Police Department, Lincoln City Police Department, Lincoln County Interagency Narcotics Team, Portland Police Bureau, Washington County Sheriff's Office, and Beaverton Police Department.

Officers with the Beaverton Police Department arrested Donaldson Friday morning after information led them to his whereabouts. He was lodged in the Washington County Jail to await transport back to the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections.

Donaldson entered DOC custody on Dec. 4, 2012, on three counts of first-degree theft, three counts of second-degree burglary, and one count of first-degree criminal mischief out of Lane County. At the time he walked away, his earliest release date was June 20, 2016.
