Supt. Stefanie Garber's husband

The Culver community is mourning the sudden loss of Culver School District Superintendent Stefanie Garber’s husband Keith Garber, 56, who passed away Nov. 16, from a massive heart attack.

Funeral services were held Nov. 23 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Redmond.

The Garbers have a ranch in Powell Butte, and their family includes two children, Jared, 13, and Lacey, 11.

A donation account has been set up for the Garber children at all branches of Wells Fargo Bank, and cards for the family may be dropped off at any of the Culver schools for delivery.

Dave Slaght, chairman of the Culver School District Board of Directors said while Garber is on bereavement leave, board members are working with Culver Middle School Principal Bradley Kudlac and Culver High School Principal Tim Fields, and business office manager Jamie Burleigh to keep the district running.

“Rick Molitor, the 509-J superintendent, has volunteered to help us if we need it, but things have been fine. Mrs. Garber has a very well-oiled machine,” Slaght said of her administrators and support staff.
