Merkley returns for April 4 town hall
U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley is returning to Jefferson County April 4, for his annual town hall, to be held in Warm Springs.
Merkley will update constituents on his work in Washington, D.C., and answer questions and invite suggestions about how to tackle the challenges facing Oregon and America.
The Jefferson County Town Hall will be held Wednesday, April 4, at 5 p.m., at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy, 50 Chukar Road, Warm Springs.
The local visit is part of a two-day swing through four Central Oregon counties — Klamath, Lake, Deschutes and finally Jefferson County, on April 3 and 4.
"In our 'We the People' democracy, town hall meetings are an essential tool for me to hear from Oregonians and represent their interests back in D.C.," Merkley said. "I invite everyone in these counties to come and discuss what we need to do to strengthen our state and our nation."
Since joining the Senate in 2009, Merkley has held a town hall in each of Oregon's 36 counties every year.
