Marine Board seeks input on Fly Creek
The Oregon State Marine Board is seeking public comment on proposed rules for the Fly Creek inlet on Lake Billy Chinook.
The board initiated rulemaking in January to consider a slow-no wake zone in the Fly Creek inlet. At the board's quarterly meeting, held on March 28, in Salem, the board tabled rulemaking, and directed staff to modify the proposed rule language, and reinitiate rulemaking.
The Marine Board will conduct a public hearing on the revised draft language beginning at 9 a.m., during its April 18, Marine Board meeting. To ensure the board has adequate time to review written comments, submit them by April 16, at 5 p.m.
