PIONEER FILE PHOTO - Don't miss the fireworks show over Madras."Let Freedom Ring!" is the theme for the Madras Fourth of July parade and celebration, which is based at Sahalee Park.

Events begin with the annual Todd Beamer Memorial Run with registration at 6:15 a.m., and bus leaving for the 5K and 10K runs at 7:30 a.m. The two-mile Fun Run starts at 9 a.m.

Don't miss the Madras Elk's Lodge pancake breakfast, from 8-10 a.m. at the park, where you can eat while watching the runners and walkers arrive at the finish line.

The Fourth of July Parade will begin at 10 a.m., traveling from the tennis courts, down 10th Street to B Street, and looping around Sahalee Park.

Following the parade, there will be a flag presentation and opening ceremony. Family-oriented activities will be held at the park until 2 p.m., including live music, delicious food booths and other vendors, a dunk tank to benefit Relay For Life, and more.

The day culminates with the Madras Sparklers spectacular fireworks display in the evening, visible from anywhere in Madras.
