Construction company is working from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on paving south of Madras.

As part of the U.S. Highway 97 paving project that will extend from the junction with U.S. Highway 26, south of Madras, all the way to Terrebonne, Knife River Construction will be grinding and inlay paving on from the Crooked River Bridge south to Terrebonne.

The work will take place at night, from Sunday to Thursday, until the work is completed. There will be one-way traffic with flaggers and pilot cars between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., with traffic delays of up to 20 minutes.

In another U.S. 97 project, Stellar J. Construction is performing bridge replacement work at Spanish Hollow Creek and Trout Creek.

There may be one-way traffic with flaggers anytime. After the flagging is complete, the construction zone will be switched over and controlled with signals.
