SUSAN MATHENY - Margee O'Brien is the grand marshal for the Jefferson County Fair, which opened Wednesday, July 25, and runs through Saturday, July 28.It's fair week, and with the theme "Fun in the Sun," the Jefferson County Fair opens Wednesday, July 25, and runs through Saturday, July 28, with fun for all ages. Admission is free.

There is a full lineup of entertainers this year, including the Rock Bottom Boys Band, Olivia Harms, Blue Flamez and Countryfied.

Two nights of action-packed rodeos, with wild horse races, will provide thrills, as will many of the carnival rides, and a new zip line, and the lawnmower races.

The 4-H/FFA Livestock Auction is at 5 p.m., on Saturday, where club members' livestock projects will be sold to the highest bidders.
