The annual MAC Bash fundraiser drew about 40 people to the Madras Aquatic Center Friday, Nov. 2, for finger food and drinks.

This year, the MAC Bash raised nearly $6,000 for the nonprofit MAC Trust.

"The funds are used for scholarships for Madras Aquatic Center Recreation District programs, both in and out of water, and memberships for seniors and veterans," said Jered Reid, president of the MAC Trust. "Community members donated over 30 desserts that were auctioned off."

The fundraiser typically draws a larger crowd, but Reid wasn't surprised. "Attendance was down this year, but we expected that with the football team in the playoffs and a four-day weekend at the school," he said.
